Of course, you don't have to know anything about baseball to get a haircut here.
You shouldn't have to sit down and hope your barber understands what you're asking for.
Before I start cutting, I want to know what you have in mind. That might mean talking about how short you want to go, looking at a picture, or figuring out what worked and what didn't with your last haircut.
I also want to know how you normally wear your hair. A haircut needs to work for you after you leave the shop, not just while you're sitting in the chair.
Once we know what we're going for, I focus on getting the details right.
That means taking the time the haircut needs, checking the work as I go, and making adjustments when necessary.
And if you're not sure what to ask for, that's fine too. You don't need to know all the haircut terminology to have a conversation about what you want.
